Working as a maid at one of the renowned hotel in Manhattan while being a single mother of a 10 years old is proven hard for Marisa Ventura. She was always teased by her fellow maid in the hotel for being uptight. Her maid floor partner, Stephanie urged Marisa to let herself go and get some fun. While messing around with each other in one of the guest room, they were interrupted by Ty, Marisa's boy with Chris Marshall, a second generation Marshall politician who runs for the senate that happened to stay over at the hotel. While in the clothes that wasn't hers, Marisa found herself connected with Chris. And like that, the case of mistaken identity continues but it has to end when Marisa was offered the manager position.
Trailer:
This movie brings a Cinderella vibe with the maid theme and the politician hero. I really loves this movie and the chemistry between Marisa and Chris was very nice. They really played their part perfectly. Also, I love how Marisa had the support of her friends at the hotel when she 'borrow' the clothes of the hotel customer. Not exactly professional but who else can be her fairy godmother, right?
This Cinderella however had a child, a boy who is about 9, 10? I don't remember. But I know that the kid actor (and he is probably older than me) did a very good job. He is soooo cute! As a romcom, there wasn't much conflict other than the fact that both main characters were from two different background and their relationship might be something that people will talk about, especially when one of them is a public figure.
It was a veeeery light watch, a rags to riches and not quite a damsel in distress. I really enjoyed the story and it was a really good movie to fill your time (especially to escape the busyness of your day). I really enjoy the story and I recommend it, really.
