Plot: 

Jo Mitchell was used to moved around following her father. She knew to not make any friends nor enemy at school as she only stayed at the school for a short time. When she helped Abby, a girl targeted by The Plastic's queen bee, Mandi, she received an offer from Abby's father to be his daughter's friend. In return, she will have enough money to attend her dream college and her mother's alma mater, the Carnegie Mellon. In doing so, she also became the target for the Plastics. But Jo really did not know how to back down.

This movie had no connection to the previous Mean Girls except for the school they attend and the principal. According to the rating left in IMDB and people's opinion on the internet, we can say that this movie is a total flop. However, I actually had a bit different opinion. I think the plot of the movie was a bit similar to the first movie but the mean girls were not mean. They were just cruel. It was no longer mean pranks, backstabbing, it was juvenile. Honestly, if they produced this movie under a different title, it might not failed this hard, maybe. Idk.

What I appreciate more of this movie is the romance between Tyler and Jo. I like how it was not a desperate attempt on Jo's part to get Tyler's attention. It felt more genuine with them. Plus, their chemistry is pretty cute. Another thing was Jo's awkward moment when she first trying to befriend Anne. And when they actually became friend and planning pranks to the Plastics, the best. One complaint on my part was how Jo suddenly changed and became like the Plastics. I mean sure enough she kinda became the big thing after bringing the Plastics down but the way she dressed and her attitude was totally off. Well, maybe the 'fame' got to her?

The conflict between Jo and Anne and the Plastics' retaliation to bring Jo down were expected and it made me sooo mad. Luckily Jo had that hacker guy in her team. And luckily that neighbor of her had a weird grudge towards her family that he set up CCTV cam pointing at their house. And when Jo proposed to the Plastics to a football match to determined who is the top of the social ladder was kinda ridiculous and funny at the same time. Well, being a comedy film, I had a plenty time of enjoying the whole comedic scenes. So, my verdict was that, it was not as bad as I expect it to be, considering the internet rating was so low.
