Paik Sa-Eon comes from a prestigious political family and he became the youngest presidential spokesman in Korea. His background also includes time spent as a war correspondent, hostage negotiator, and main anchorman. He married Hong Hee-Joo 3 years ago. She is the daughter of a newspaper proprietor. She has mutism due to an accident she had when she was little. She works as a sign language interpreter in court and on television. Paik Sa-Eon & Hong Hee-Joo got married largely due to convenience. For the past 3 years, they haven't communicated with each other or have meals together. They pretend they are a happily married couple. One day, Hong Hee-Joo is kidnapped by an unidentified person. This changes their marriage life.

I waited ages for this story to complete so that I could binge watch and damn it was sooo good! At first, I had to adjust myself to Yoo Yeon Seok being a cold, distant and charming character, far from his cheery and happy character in Hospital Playlist but he killed this role! Who doesn't love a manly man being manly, right?!

I have to say, since I am late to join the bandwagon of Paik Saeon, I have seen some reels and shorts about the drama, so, some parts of it were no longer a surprise for me. But still, it was very entertaining and quite thrilling, especially the beginning. I love how Hong Hee Joo was initially looked like a damsel in distress character grew bolder when she thought her husband had no care of her life. I legit cheered when she went nuts on the kidnapper.

Both Soo Bin and Yeon Seok killed their roles. I especially love Soo Bin's acting. Some might say she is expressionless but for me personally, she successfully conveyed all her character's emotions.  Plus, I think she did a good job acting using sign language, although her expression remain minimal. Yeon Seok definitely done a great job as Saeon. I love how these two found their love for each other. The chemistry between these two were great!

The mystery behind the people who kidnapped Hee Joo and blackmailed Saeon were mysterious and considering the motive behind it was because of something that Saeon did during his childhood that related to the missing orphans definitely captured my attention. Just like all other mystery/thriller drama, there hints dropped as the story progressed and some of guessed hit the mark and some definitely surprised me.

Another thing that I love in this drama were the side characters including the announcer, Na Yuri, the college sunbae, Ji Sang Woo and unexpectedly, Hee Joo's stepsister, Ina. I love how these people came together for Hee Joo. Ina was an unexected character and I love her gut! Plus, the OSTs were really good and I definitely added some of it to my playlist.

If there is one thing I could change in regards to the ending, I wanted a scene where Hee Joo's mother apologize to her. We did see she regret her action but then we never really see she apologize (or did I missed it?) and just know that they made up. Overall, I truly enjoyed the story and definitely will watch it again!
