Psychopath Diary

Assalamualaikum, good day dearest ! We almost at the end of Ramadan, can you believe it ?! Wow, time sure flies so fast. So, MCO was extended yet again and this time it will ends on 9th June. But with the exceptional condition added to the order, some of us were allowed to go for works and I could say that we could live a little freer. Anyways, here is the k-drama review for today !

Title : Psychopath Diary
Episodes : 16
Genre : Comedy, Crime
Writer : Ryu Yong Jae, Kim Hwan Chae, Choi Sung Joon
Network : tvN
Cast : Yoon Shi Yoon, Jung In Sun, Park Sung Hoon
Plot :

Yook Dong Shik works at a brokage company. He had a kind and timid personality which led him to be a pushover in the company. Due to an incident that tainted the company's name, he is forced to take responsibility even though it was not his fault. After being called during the birthday party of his nephew, he decided to take his own life. Yook Dong Shik then went to a construction site after leaving his suicide note on his table. He however got chickened out. On his way out, he witnessed a murder. He accidentally picked the murder's diary and flee. He was hit by Officer Shim Bo Kyung's car while fleeing and lose his memory due to the accident. Because of the diary, he believed that he is a serial killer.

SPOILER ALERT

It's been so long since I last watched Yoon Shi Yoon works so it's good to see him again. Alright, the plot and story line are great and not so heavy. It is pretty enjoyable for me. The first few episodes a little boring for me because it passed a bit slow but nothing unbearable.

This drama are in between tension and comedy. I mean, when a situation supposed to be tense and serious, it gets funny because of Yook Dong Shik's character. And with Shim Bo Kyung, the situation gets funnier sometimes. I love the chemistry between these two actor. The crime committed were grave but there was no disturbing scenes like any other crime drama.

The real killer were revealed early in the drama and it is a great fit for a comedy drama. It was hilarious seeing Seo In Woo trying to make Dong Shik as his alliances because he thought they had the same interest. He is ruthless and the actor played him really well. I don't think I have ever watch any of his (Park Sung Hoon) works before. He did gave me chills when he tried to make Dong Shik as the scapegoat.

Overall, I enjoyed this drama even though I watched it a little slow than any other drama. And as the plus point, the OST used in the drama is great and I love it !
