Plot (credited to AsianWiki):
A high school student dreamed of one day working as an architect. She became a victim of high school violence perpetrated by her fellow students. She dropped out of high school because of the bullying. She then planned revenge on her tormentors and also the bystanders who did nothing.
That student is now an adult. She has waited for the leader of her tormentors to get married and have a child. That child is now an elementary school student. The women who was once a victim of school violence, is now the homeroom teacher of her tormentor's child. Her cruel revenge plot begins in earnest.
When I started watching this, I did not realize that it is a rated drama. All I know is that this drama is about the revenge of a bullying victim. The first part of the drama recounted how Moon Dong Eun was bullied and what she had to go through in her school days. Once, she dreamed of becoming an architect, but because of the bullying, she did not even have a chance to finish high school. After dropping out, she swore on her life to get back to her bullies and shattered all of their dreams and lives just like they did hers.
For me, it was hard to watch the bullying scenes. The screams were too real and I read somewhere this drama was based on a real life story making it even harder to watch. At times, the drama progressed to slowly for my liking so I had to watch it at 1.5x or 2x. But, once Dong Eun started revealing herself to Yeon Jin, it started to get interesting and I love how confident she was despite many things of her plan going sideways. Song Hye Kyo definitely killed her role in this drama. The pain, the rage, and the sheer coldness she depicted in this story were successfully conveyed.
And all the other actors fits perfectly in their roles. I personally despised Lim Ji Yeon for her character in this drama😅And I absolutely thrilled whenever she was scared of Dong Eun and went out of control. My personal favorite character was Dong Eun's ahjumoni. Her little helper that was abused and wanted absolutely nothing but the death of her husband and the safety of her child. I love the friendship between ahjumoni and Dong Eun, even though it feels one sided because of Dong Eun's cautious personality.
I however did not feel any romance between Dong Eun and Yoo Jeong. Their chemistry unfortunately did not shine through the drama and Yoo Jeong's character feels like an unnecessary addition. Or maybe their romance is unnecessary. His character could stay as a friend that Dong Eun did not had growing up. I like the chemistry between Dong Eun and Yeon Jin's husband even more than Dong Eun and Yoo Jeong's.
The ending was to satisfaction and every one of the bullies got what they deserved. I especially love how Yeon Jin and her mother's relationship crumbled. It was pure pleasure.
